Class screen for the board

One class screen for the task happening now

This class screen goes on the projector or classroom board: directions, how students should work, how loud they should be, and how much time is left. It is not a daily slide deck, and it is not only a countdown. Use it when the class needs the current task on the board, not just the clock.

Lesson starts and independent work

Display a bell task, reading direction, or written assignment with a visible silent-work expectation.

Teacher tips

Use the tool as a clear classroom signal while keeping the learning task at the center.

  • Introduce the voice-level labels before relying on them as a classroom signal.
  • Use short, observable directions that students can check without asking what to do next.
  • Place the fullscreen display where the back row can read it, and reset the timer when the activity changes.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

Can I use it on a projector or interactive whiteboard?

Yes. Open it in a browser, choose Present fullscreen, and put the student view on the classroom display.

Does fullscreen include the teacher controls?

No. Fullscreen shows only the directions, remaining time, voice level, and work mode.

What is saved after I close the page?

The title, directions, duration, voice level, and work mode stay in this browser. The running countdown does not.

Does the timer play a sound?

No. Time up is shown on screen. There is no automatic sound.

How is this different from the classroom countdown?

The countdown page is a classroom timer only. This class screen also puts the directions, work mode, and voice level on the same board.
